Spirit of Volunteerism
Ms. Dolores Billings (right) receiving the “Spirit of Volunteerism” Award
from Brenda West, RSVP Advisory Council.

Steuben County RSVP recognized all their volunteers at the 37th annual event and luncheon on Thursday, June 10th, 2010. Three individuals were given special recognition after the luncheon.  Mr. Lou Fell received the Louise Argentieri Memorial Award as the volunteer that contributed the most hours in 2009.  Mr. Fell volunteers at the Curtiss Museum, and contributed over 1200 hours during the course of the year.   Two volunteers received the "Spirit of Volunteerism Award" for exemplary volunteer efforts.   Ms. Dolores Billings of Prattsburgh was honored for her dedication and service to the Prattsburgh Free Library.  Mr. William Mattice of Wayland was honored for his many hours of service to the Bath VA and his dedication to his fellow veterans.   Nominations for this award are received from many RSVP partner agencies and the RSVP Advisory Board makes the final decision from this pool of candidates.
