Mobile Work Program

Steuben County Department of Public Works
Steuben County Department of Social Services

 The Mobile Work Program crews build sidewalks, maintain cemeteries, paint equipment and facilities and help on many other types of projects for not-for-profit agencies. The crews are dedicated to doing meaningful work with mutual respect.

The Social Services Department assigns welfare recipients to the program. The crew members are picked up, supervised and returned home by Public Works Department supervisors. The not-for-profit agencies provide the tools and equipment and materials.  

Public Works Supervisor Phil Hink is the field supervisor of the four crew leaders.
