Trust in the Lives of Older Women (TLOW) support groups
TLOW groups, based on trust and confidentiality, provide a sense of community for older women. The groups also serve as a place to boost participants’ resilience to face various life situations as they age. Participation in a TLOW group positively effects participants’ physical, mental, and emotional health. The women participating in these groups report decreased stress, loneliness, depression, and anxiety and increased support, friendship, community, humor/laughter, mental stimulation, trust, and relief from anxiety. For more information about the group nearest you, contact the Office for Aging at 607-664-2298 or  click here for a list of groups and meeting places/times.
