| The Mobile Work Program crews build
sidewalks, maintain cemeteries, paint equipment and facilities and help
on many other types of projects for non-for-profit agencies. The crews
are dedicated to doing meaningful work with mutual respect. The Social Services Department assigns welfare recipients to work on one of three crews. The crew members are scheduled for specific projects by the Department of Public Works. The crew members are picked up, supervised and returned home by Public Works crew leaders. The agencies provide the tools and equipment. Public Works Supervisor Phil Hink is the field supervisor for the three crew leaders. Please
call the Public Works main office, June Murray, 607-664-2466,
if you would like us to do a project for you. |
