Taylor York

In 2003 Taylor York graduated cum laude from the Pace University School of Law, ranked as one of the top 20 law schools in the nation for its clinical programs.  While there, Ms. York began legal practice under a student practice order, representing victims of domestic violence.  She also worked for Gibney, Anthony & Flaherty, LLP in Manhattan prosecuting members of a vast Asian organized crime ring selling counterfeit goods of major brand names such as Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Yves Saint Lauren, Kate Spade and others. 

After graduation, Ms. York joined the telecommunications firm of Snyder & Snyder representing the interests of every major telcom firm in the tri-state area, including Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, Cellular One, Nextel, and was responsible for handling multi-million dollar arbitration disputes conducted at the American Arbitration Association headquarters in NYC.  She is licensed to practice in New York and in state and federal courts of New Jersey.

In 2005, Ms. York shifted her legal focus and moved upstate to join the Steuben County Law Department as an Assistant County Attorney, responsible for prosecuting child abuse and neglect in Family Court, as well as juvenile delinquency and child support collection. 

In January of 2007, Ms. York joined Hon. John C. Tunney in the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office.  She holds the position of felony prosecutor, covering the City of Corning and County felony prosecutions in Bath. 

Ms. York has put down roots in the Corning area and looks forward to serving the people of Steuben County for many years to come.
