Timothy Rosell


Mr. Rosell was born in Wayland, New York in 1967.  He attended the Hornell School District his entire life and graduated from Hornell High School 1985.  Thereafter, Tim attended Alfred State College in 1987 and went on to attend and graduate from Alfred University in 1990.  His father was employed on Erie- Erie Lackawanna and then Conrail and retired after 44 years of service.  His mother worked as an aide at the Hornell School District from 1985 to 1996.  Both parents still reside in the City of Hornell. He has one sister residing in Steuben County.

Tim currently resides in the City of Hornell with his wife of ten years and their two children.  He is an active member of the Hornell Kiwanis and spearheaded the development of a skate park in Hornell along with the City and his fellow Kiwanians.  Tim is a past coach of a high school aged boy’s and girl’s basketball team and a high school aged boy’s baseball team.

Tim attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan from May 1993 to December 1995 where he worked on the Law Review journal and was the recipient of two merit awards. He became a New York State bar member in June of 1996.  

Tim was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney in March of 2006 with responsibility for local criminal courts handling misdemeanors and any necessary local felony hearings.  His 13 local courts generally include the Southwestern portion of Steuben County from Addison to Dansville.  Prior to his ADA appointment he practiced private and assigned criminal law since his admission to the bar in 1996.  Besides his part-time position with the District Attorney’s Office in the local Courts, Tim concentrates his efforts in divorce, family law, real estate and personal injury.  He maintains a private practice in Hornell with the Firm of Pulos and Rosell, LLP. along with his partner William Pulos.
