The Records Management Department is responsible for the systematic control of records from creation to final disposition. The methodical approach to control of government records is essential to reduce paperwork proliferation, provide efficient access to information, dispose of obsolete records, provide documentation of compliance to State and Federal courts and agencies, and maintain historical organizational records. The Steuben County Records Center is located on the 7002 County Route 113. Staffing is comprised of a Records Retention Clerk and a Records Manager. The Department's objective is to provide accessible and manageable records control for all divisions of County government, as well as to preserve historical records for generations to come.
